Tornado’s main lodge is located on the Pickerel River, part of the French River system well known for it’s bass, pickerel, pike and musky fishing. Our outpost camps offer you waters that have seen little fishing pressure, therefore affording you the opportunity to fish some of Ontario’s most pristine waters. we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction…

Our 3rd time staying in this lovely resort. We stayed at the hearty cabin with 3 bedrooms. We had a fabulous weekend of boating, fishing and sightseeing. Hoping to experience one of the fly-in island cottages next time. Lionel and Ladina are great hosts.

The staff do a very good job helping in any way they can, they’re a very kind group of people who ensure your stay is perfect. After asking to refill on propane the staff immediately got to it and delivered. They were even so kind enough to let us drive up to our cabin to drop off our luggage instead of walking back and forth from the parking lot. Each day we were greeted with a smile and are very thankful for the staff at Tornado’s for even making the rainy days fun.

Tornado’s is our little hidden gem for a great weekend get away. We have been coming here for years now and look forward to coming for many more. The rooms and cottages are simple but always sparkling clean. Thank you Lionel and family for always taking such great care of us.

We had a great time at this quiet and beautiful resort on Civic Day long weekend. We were so glad staying here instead of going to French River Provincial Park which was closed due to forest fire, so we got a chance exploring peaceful lakes around this area. First time driving a motor boat which was fantastic. Definitely recommend this resort to my colleagues and friends and come back again!

Nice place with a rustic feel. Reminds me of places I used to go to as a kid with my grandparents. Has rooms or individual cabins that you can rent. There is a little bar and restaurant on site. The food is good and the staff are really friendly. If you want to get away and step back into a simpler style of accommodation this is a place to check out. There is WiFi but only in the common areas. No TV in the rooms. Very Peaceful.

Great location on beautiful Pickerel River!
Enjoyed our stay at the resort, rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, they do not have a restaurant on site, which would have been convenient. Overall, highly recommend.
